The Youth Employment Program (YEP) is a partnership with the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Library.  YEP provides job training, resume creation, interview workshops and job placement for students ages 15-20.  For more information or to schedule an appointment contact Lisa Marie at (510) 706-6821 or email the Chamber at YEP@sanleandrochamber.com

Attention Youth 16-24 yrs of age-
Scholarships towards job training and education with Job Corps in Alameda/Oakland/Berkeley. Trainees receive a stipend while in training, plus a monetary bonus for earning their high school diploma, and another monetary bonus for completing a job training program. Upon graduation you will receive an additional monetary bonus to help get readjusted to life. You will also receive assistance with college, or technical school, as well as job- placement assistance. Grants for Vocational Training-Charles & Connie Meng Scholarship Program-$500 scholarships (Maximum age 35yrs) to young people in community college vocational training programs in Alameda County. Full time students earning passing grades, enrolled in 2-yr vocational training programs; student must have a career goal! There must be evidence of financial need and partial self-support. You must be an United States citizen and reside in Alameda County. This scholarship program is not for students going on to four-year institutions. Students must be nominated by a teacher or counselor, who writes a letter supporting the nomination. Please call the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation for your two-page application @ (510) 645-1890.
