Recalling the eras when commercial developments sprung up first at seaports and then along the railroads and, later, around highways and airports, Mayor Stephen Cassidy said in his State of the City address that investment and development now follow ultra-high speed broadband connectivity. “Fiber optics are the essential infrastructure of the 21st century, and we are providing San Leandro businesses a significant competitive advantage to grow and become industry leaders,” he stated.
