Summer Internships

Every Summer, together with the San Leandro Unified School District, San Leandro Chamber Members and Businesses join forces to create real work experiences to enhance student professional skills, industry knowledge, and workforce development.

Summer internships provide career pathways for students, and employers a fresh perspective on their business, the opportunity to expand their future workforce, and the ability to contribute to developing local talent.

Host a virtual student intern if you're able to:
  • Provide 10-20 hours a week, at a 4-week minimum for a student intern.
  • Provide professional guidance throughout the internship.
Program Runs: June 16-July 22

SLUSD will provide training on:

  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Eden ROP Workers Compensation Insurance Coverage
  • Programs Goals and Expectations

Last year we had the pleasure of hosting two summer interns who hit the ground running to build their understanding of our business community. They learned about advocacy in business, the functionality of local government, and how the Chamber contributes to the conversations.

To capture their learning, they worked to bring you a new and improved Advocacy Page. Explore it for ways take advantage of Chamber Advocacy.
